Investigating Global Issues
This series of WebQuests is designed to engage secondary students in critical thinking and problem-solving around key global issues. Each WebQuest includes a concise introduction to a global issue and standards-based teaching suggestions to extend students' learning across the curriculum. (2011)

Eradicating Guinea Worm Disease
Gather information about the causes and effects of Guinea worm disease, a waterborne illness affecting several countries in Africa. The Growing Challenge in Senegal
Explore the issue of soil fertility and its impact on agriculture. Working in teams, students take the role of Senegalese farming families who must design an optimal rotation for their crops in declining soil conditions. (2010) Lesson plan
The Malaria Challenge
