Reinforced mortar tank storage for roof catchments

Diagram by Erik Nissen Peterson. This large cement jar is made by stuffing sawdust, sand, or rice hulls into a cloth bag that serves as a framework. The framework bag is then plastered with mortar. Chicken wire and barbed wire are tied on to the plaster and another layer of plaster is applied. After 24 hours, the bag is removed and plaster is applied to the inside to make the jar waterproof.
