Ten-year-old Tesselem m/Souleymatu is making shaneen (soured milk) in a goat skin bag while watching her two-year-old charges. Shaneen is used in zrig (a drink) and aish (a rice-and-milk dish). During the rainy season, the animals come back to the village and milk becomes plentiful.
