Peace Corps Volunteer Julie Bednarski and girls from her village pause to rest on their way from a spring that is the source of drinking water for the village of Mongatelo. The steep hill to the spring tends to get muddy and quite slippery after a rain or a day of heavy use. It is a challenge for these young girls, who make the trip about twice a day. The girls range in age from 3 to 9.
