Maasai women wait to be treated by the mobile health staff, all of whom are Maasai, except for the Peace Corps Volunteer. Most diseases here are water-borne. We treat typhoid, malaria, cholera, worms, scabies, and sexually transmitted diseases. We also vaccinate and monitor babies, and teach families how to protect springs and to boil the water.
